Roger Lee Kerr, age 80, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Monday, February 23rd, 2026. Roger was born in Mansfield, Ohio on September 8th, 1945, to the late Herman and Lucille (Magee) Kerr. He married the love of this life, Sheila Posa, in March of 1966. Married for 60 years, they created a loving family together with their two sons making him a very proud man.

Roger was a 1963 graduate of Mansfield High School in Mansfield, Ohio. He enlisted in The Navy for active duty in January 1966, The Navy Reserves in 1968 and he was Honorably Discharged from The Navy in September 1971. He was a kind, caring and hardworking man whose life was a blessing to all that knew him. He was known for his generous heart and warm sense of humor.

A devout Christian, he lived in his faith every day. Above all, Roger loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, and his presence will be deeply missed. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the values he passed down.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Lucille Kerr and his youngest son Stephen Kerr. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his wife Sheila Kerr of Marion, Ohio and one son, Jeff (Rhonda) Kerr of Delaware, Ohio. Grandchildren; Cody (Katie) Kerr of Marion, Ohio; Kayleigh Rexrode of Sunbury, Ohio. Great Grandchildren; Hailey Kerr, Jaxx DeVoe, Zayden Williams, Nikayla Kerr and Kaydence Kerr. Three sisters, Shirley Bell, Margaret Owens and Beverly Plaster.

A celebration of life will be planned and held on a later date.
