Larry Doughty Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 26, 2026.
Larry Alan Doughty, 63 of Marion, passed away peacefully at home. He was born to the late Larry & Laura (Maffit) Doughty in Steubenville, OH on October 1, 1962. Larry married Tana Jo Arnett on December 3, 1981 and they spent over 45 years together. Larry retired from Marion Steel as a crane operator.

Larry had a love for fast cars and trucks. Out of all of the cars that he owned, his favorite was his 1970 Dodge Super Bee, followed closely by his 72' Monte Carlo. He loved rock & roll, watching old Westerns, but above all, Larry loved his family.

Larry will be dearly missed by his wife, Tana Jo Doughty; his grandchildren, Christopher & Kaylie Jo Barth; his sisters, Barb (Ed) Large and Karen (Chad) Martin; his brother, Michael (Kristi) Doughty; his mother-in-law, Joanne Arnett; sister-in-law, Justina (Barry) Johnston; his brother-in-law, Bobby C. Arnett Jr; his nieces, Bobbie Jo Meachem, Brianna Appelfeller, and Aly Arnett; his nephews, Eddie Large, Eric Large, Justin Klingel, Payton Doughty, and Troy Arnett; his great nephews & nieces that he loved very much, Brooklynn, Owen, and Kendra Brammer; and his best friend since 1st grade, Mike Fry; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Larry is preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Jo Doughty-Barth; his parents and father-in-law, Bobby C. Arnett Sr.

A Celebration of Larry's life will be held by the family at a later date.
