David Richard Kless III, age 26, passed away on February 21, 2026. He was born on May 6, 1999, and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

David was the beloved son of Jackie Childress. He was a caring brother to his sisters, Emma Simpson and Bayley Simpson. He was also a cherished nephew to his uncle’s Jason Childress and Michael Childress, and his aunt Jamie Childress. David shared a special bond with his cousins Gavin Petersmarck, Julien Petersmarck, and Jack Childress.

David’s life, though far too short, touched many people. He will be remembered for the memories he created with his family and for the place he will always hold in their hearts. His family finds comfort in the love they shared with him and the moments that will never be forgotten.

David was a gentle, radiant soul whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and ease to everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. His spirit was warm and genuine — the kind that wrapped around you like a hug without ever needing to try. He adored his sisters and loved spoiling them, always finding joy in lifting them up and making them feel special. His heart stretched wide, and it showed in the countless people who loved him, near and far. Whether you knew him for years or only shared a single conversation, David had a way of making you feel seen.

He found peace in the quiet beauty of nature, especially with a fishing pole in hand and calm water reflecting the sky around him, and when he wasn’t outdoors, he was in the gaming world — laughing, connecting, and building friendships that crossed cities, states, and even countries. David loved to laugh, and his laugh was truly infectious: bright, unrestrained, and the kind that made others join in without hesitation.

Above all, David had a rare and beautiful gift for making people feel included. His absence leaves an ache that can never be filled, but his warmth, his laughter, and the love he shared will continue to echo into the lives of all who knew him.
