David Michael Knapp

David Michael Knapp passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2023. He was only 60 years old. David was born on January 19, 1963 in Waverly, New York. He and his wife, Dana Knapp, whom he married in Ocala, Florida in 1994, eventually settled in Burnet, Texas where they lived together with their 13 year old daughter, Miranda Knapp.
David is survived by his wife, Dana, his mother Joyce Knapp, Bob Hartzog, who was like a father to him, his four children, Kristina Knapp, David Charles Knapp, Kayla Knapp, and Miranda Knapp, his 11 grandchildren, Kaelyn Hoffman, Brianna Hoffman, Nicholas Hoffman, McKenzie Sky Pado, Payton Pado, Addyson Pado, Cheyenne Pado, Andrick Pado, McKenzie Renee Knapp, Morgan Knapp, and Emma Knapp, as well as many other close family members, to include uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his grandparents.
David spent most of his career as an owner/operator of a commercial truck, spending many years driving cross-country, but transitioned to local work for the last 25 years. He was a hard working man, but also took the opportunity as often as possible to enjoy life by taking family vacations and spending time with family and friends.
David was strong willed and stubborn at times, but had an enormous heart and a great sense of humor. He was a man of integrity and was generous, loyal, and brave. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was witty and clever and full of knowledge gained through his life experiences. He took great pride in any truck he drove throughout his career, loved riding and caring for his horses, his pets, riding his Harley Davidson, hunting, boating and fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Family and friends meant the world to David, and he found the most happiness through them. Taken much too soon, he will be deeply missed by many.
