In Loving Memory of David Tsui
August 6, 1949 – July 19, 2025
David Tsui passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 19, 2025, after a courageous 19-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 75 years old. David faced his illness with the same strength, optimism, and resilience that defined his life.
Born in Vietnam on August 6, 1949, David spent his early years in his home country. He was introduced to Sau Man Tang through their parents, and later married in Vietnam in 1975. The couple then settled in Hong Kong and were blessed with four children. In 1996, they made the life-changing decision to immigrate to the United States, where they continued to build a life and raise their family together.
David worked in the trading business and held a variety of jobs over the years to provide for his family. A lifelong learner with a curious and adaptable mind, he developed many interests and hobbies. David was naturally extroverted and had a vibrant personality. He loved making new friends, enjoyed lively conversations, and was always eager to help others. His positive attitude was especially evident throughout his battle with cancer, inspiring everyone around him.
Fluent in Cantonese and conversational in both English and Mandarin, David confidently navigated daily life and built connections across cultures. He had a natural talent for understanding how things worked-especially electronics-and never hesitated to ask questions or explore something new. A passionate foodie, he delighted in discovering great places to eat and generously shared his recommendations with friends and family.
He is fondly remembered by his wife, Sau Man Tang, and their four children: Karen (married to Ed), Fannie (married to Jack), Carmen (married to Gordon), and William (married to Ariel). He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Sky, Ethan, Elise, Annabella, Anders, and Anson. His legacy of warmth, perseverance, and passion for living life to the fullest lives on in each of them.
David will be deeply missed, kindly remembered, and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
