Dave was a great guy. I went to school with him my entire life. I´ll always remember how upbeat and affable he was. I think we were in the same class almost every year at Long School. Dave was so polite to kids and adults alike. My parents would always say how much they liked him because of his impeccable manners. He was a huge part of our championship floor hockey team at Long School....the Oilers. We lost only 1 game in 3 years (and that 1 loss was controversial I tell ya lol!). We would have a party for the team at my house after winning the title and i remember Dave was always there to celebrate another great year. Somewhere I have pictures from a couple of those parties...if i find them I´ll try to post `em here. Great memories! I was so sad to hear of his passing. My memories of Dave: We used to sit in the lunchroom at Long School after safety patrol drinking hot chocolate and talking about life at large. I remember jogging with him at OL Smith Jr High and at Edsel Ford because we always seemed to have the same gym class. I always appreciated how good a listener he was...and Dave had a great sense of humor as well! Unfortunately after high school graduation we lost touch as often happens when life takes everyone in different directions. Gone far too soon. Just a great guy from Dearborn. Condolences to his family and friends. Sorry it took me so long to write something.
