David Lamar, 64, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born in Perry County, Indiana on August 28, 1960, son of the late Albert and Wilma (Cotton) Lamar.
David had worked as an over the road truck driver having worked for Irby Construction Co, Can-Clay, Best Chairs, Winkler Inc. and Flash Trucking. He was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church. David enjoyed listening to Geddy Lee and Rush. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts fan who liked to watch Fox News and collect zippo lighters and Duncan yo-yos.
He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Lamar of Tell City, and a sister, Donna Lamar of Tell City.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a sister, Doreen Lamar.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 7:00pm at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Fr. Tony Hollowell officiating. There will be a private burial at Calvary Cemetery in Troy, IN.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Cemetery.
