David Clent Landreneau, 73, a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away on February 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Clent was born on September 9, 1952, in Lake Charles to Lee and Irene Granger Landreneau. A proud graduate of LaGrange High School, he built a long and respected career as an operator with PPG, LA Pigment Co., and Williams Co. He later retired from Williams Co. as a Safety Instructor, a role he found especially meaningful. Clent truly enjoyed his work and the friendships he formed along the way, particularly the fellowship shared during company gatherings.

Clent shared a remarkable love story with his high school sweetheart, Pam Harrington. Having known each other since childhood, their bond grew into a devoted marriage that spanned fifty years, a partnership rooted in loyalty, friendship, and enduring love.

He found great joy in the outdoors and in life’s simple pleasures. Clent enjoyed playing golf, duck hunting, and fishing, but he especially loved being on the road. Whether setting out on cross-country family adventures that often lasted several weeks or heading toward his favorite destination in Colorado, he cherished the freedom of the journey as much as the destination. Clent and Pam also shared a passion for motorcycles and were active members of a motorcycle club for many years, always ready for the next ride, anywhere and anytime.

Above all, Clent’s greatest happiness was his family. He deeply loved and cherished his grandchildren, taking pride in each of their lives. One of his most treasured blessings was meeting his great-granddaughter shortly before his passing, a moment his family will forever hold close to their hearts.

Those left to honor his memory are his daughter, Alecia Booth and husband Cody; his grandchildren, Nathan Booth and wife Kayla, Hannah Booth, and Skye Landreneau; his great-grandchildren, Ella Booth and Rosie Booth; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was welcomed into eternal rest by his parents; his beloved wife of fifty years, Pamela Harrington Landreneau; his son, David G. Landreneau; his daughter, Kandace Landreneau; and his sister, Sherry Haley.

Clent's funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, at the funeral home and continue until 9:00 PM, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume Thursday at 10:00 AM and continue until the start of the service.

Clent will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of family, and the many miles traveled with those he held dear. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him, and may he rest in God’s peace.
