Mr. Laney attended Sun Valley High School and worked for many years as a long-distance truck driver with Holly Farms/Tyson before retiring from McGee Corporation. The Alabama song "Roll On (Eighteen Wheeler)" reflected the pride he took in his career and life on the road.
