85, of St. Petersburg, FL, transitioned on February 22, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Laster; sons, Merrell Laster (JaCinta), Leonard Byrd (Kachina Tchombe); daughters, Anita Irvin (Willie), Janifer Laster; brothers, Larry, Benjamin Golston, Carl Griffin, Samuel Washington; sisters, Rudine Styles, Martha Danzy, Peggy Golston, Brenda Washington; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends. Visitation, March 7, 10 am prior to Service at 11 am; both at Faith Memorial Baptist Church.
