David J. Laurent, 48, passed away suddenly into eternal rest on June 3,
2024. He was born in Jersey City, NJ on August 20, 1975. He was
predeceased by his father Lawrence Keating, cousin Anthony "Toto"
Bernabeo, and grandfather Rocco Bernabeo. Is survived by his son Jaden
Laurent, mother Anna Keating (Ralph Preudhomme), father Jean Pierre
Laurent, sisters Lydia Laurent and Margaret Keating, grandmother
Catherine Bernabeo, uncles Anthony Bernabeo (Patricia), and Gerard
Keating, and several cousins.
David was educated in the "school of hard knocks" and became a very
successful self-employed stockbroker. He loved music and was the CEO of
DJL Productions, the Eighth Wonder of the World. He was a charismatic
visionary who believed the sky was the limit. His son Jaden was his pride
and joy and the love of his life. David put people at ease and was a
kindhearted man who will be so dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held at the Greenville Memorial Home at 374
Danforth Avenue in Jersey City. Viewing on Tuesday, June 11th from 3:00
pm – 8:00 pm. The last viewing is on Wednesday, June 12th at 10:00 am at
Greenville before the burial at Holy Name Cemetery on West Side Avenue
in Jersey City.
The family is requesting donations to the mental health facility of your
choice.
