David Robert Lee, 84, of Raeford, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

David was born on April 26, 1941, to the late James Lebron Lee and Mary Lou Rollins Lee. A man deeply dedicated to serving the Lord, he faithfully served for many years as the lead greeter at his church, Destiny Now Ministries, formerly known as Mount Carmel.

Mr. Lee spent his professional career as the lead mechanic for Chesebrough-Ponds Inc., now known as Unilever, in Raeford, NC. It was here David met his loving wife, Brenda Lee; of the home. After each workday, he would wait by the time clock so he could spend a few cherished moments with her before heading home. Along with his professional work, David also oversaw the operations of his family farm located in Cumberland County.

Following his retirement, David became well known for his exceptional craftsmanship, creating birdhouses, lighthouses, custom ink pens, hand-turned lamps, and many other wooden works. His talents were proudly featured in City View Magazine in 2013.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his daughters Nancy Uber and Rita Lee; his brother, Edward Lee; and his sister, Tressie Blount.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Brenda Lee; two daughters, Donna Powell (Junior) of Fayetteville, NC, and Jennifer Lee, of Fayetteville, NC; a step son, Delmer Coffman Jr of Raeford, NC; his sister, Annabel Pender, of Fayetteville, NC; five grandchildren, Jay Powell, Kelly McPherson, David Lee, Jessica Lee, Joseph Coffman; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Destiny Now, 6405 Camden Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306. Funeral Services will follow the Visitation at 1:00 PM at the church with Apostle Wiley Hughes officiating.

Burial will follow at 3:00 PM in LaFayette Memorial Park, 2301 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
