David Lehning Obituary
13, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024. He was born July 5, 2011 to Magan Preston in Wichita, Kansas.
David, a.k.a. Monkey, enjoyed going to the Renaissance fair Memorial weekend every year. He was knighted Lord David on his last trip. He enjoyed playing video games with his brothers "The Boys" and friends. David would spend time with his sister watching the ghost hunters Sam and Colby on YouTube. He spent many hours riding his bike or walking around town with friends. No matter how hot or cold it was he love being outdoors. David was proud of his scholar's bowl medal he received seventh grade year. Most of all he loved spending time with his mom going shopping or out to eat, listening to music and showing off his silly little dances. He will always be loved and missed by those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Karla Greer.
David is survived by his mother, Magan Preston; siblings, Jace Rider, Kristi Rider; grandparents, David and Sandy Sigg, Michael Lehning; step-father, David Preston; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation: Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Smith Family Mortuary Mulvane Chapel 501 SE Louis Blvd. Mulvane, Kansas 67110. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Smith Family Mortuary Mulvane Chapel 501 SE Louis Blvd. Mulvane, Kansas 67110.

Me and David had been friends since 5th grade to 7th grade. I can admit he was a very funny little dude

Me and david became friends in 7th grade, we were in the same friend group and always would hang out at football games. but something I enjoyed was that me and him would play truth or dare at 3am, we dared each other to scream outside, we both lied about doing it. we would also play 21 questions. My favorite memory of him was everything during lunch, he would always make me laugh.

Me and David became friends in kindergarten. We had the same class and shared a love for video games. No matter how far apart we drifted, he was always there for me. We used to always play video games together for hours, walk around town and he was one of the few people that would listen to my hour long explanations of my many obsessions. I will definitely miss him, and I have lost an amazing friend.
