David Lee Leonard, 96, of Titusville, Florida, passed away on November 15, 2025, in Titusville, Florida.

David was born on April 2, 1929, in Crystal Falls, Michigan to Leo Leonard and Frances Jackson. He graduated from Crystal Falls High School in 1947. He married Bertha Francis Nedveski on May 21, 1955, in Dillonvale, Ohio, and moved to Titusville in 1956. David worked as a lineman and installer for Michigan Bell, Southern Bell, and AT&T for 30 years, and retired at the age of 55. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Air Force. He was stationed in Greenland, Iceland, Newfoundland, and Washington DC. He was a life-long, devout Catholic and a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church. He was a member of the Titusville Coin Club for many years. He loved collecting foreign coins, a hobby he pursed until the end of his life and enjoyed giving little bags of coins to acquaintances.

David is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Bertha Francis Leonard, who passed on August 29, 2022, and by his sister, Mary Makuck.

David is survived by his only son, David Lee Leonard, Jr. and his daughter-in-law, Holly Freifeld.

Funeral services for both David and Bertha will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church at a time and date yet to be determined. Interment of their ashes will follow at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. Arrangements will be organized by North Brevard Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be given to St. Teresa Catholic Church.
