David Lindke Sr. of Grubville, Missouri entered into rest on Sunday, January 28, 2024 having reached the age of 67. David was born July 31, 1956 in Buffalo City, New York.
Those who remain to cherish David's memory include his wife: Sherry (McClain) Lindke; children: David Lindke Jr., Brian Lindke (wife, Heather), Chastity Miller, Billie Hatcher (wife, Michelle), Jackie Cuatt, and Shelley Miller. David also leaves behind both grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many extended family and friends.
David proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War where he was stationed on the USS Independence. After his time spent in the military, David moved to Los Angelas where he served as riot patrol and motorcycle officer for the LA Police Department. He later obtained his degree as a Surgical Technician after which he was employed at the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
"Doc" as many affectionately knew him had a numerous list of hobbies and interests. Those who had the privilege of knowing Doc would remember him as a Buffalo Bills fan as well as a great guitarist earning the name the "Midnight Picker." He was a man who was anything but a stranger to having fun in that, he found great joy in making people smile. He enjoyed spare time being outdoors where he could be barbecuing, camping, hunting, fishing, or riding motorcycles. Doc also enjoyed his time scraping metal. Doc was a strong willed man who possessed a wealth of knowledge and will no doubt be missed by all of those who knew him.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 4 p.m. until the time of his Memorial Service at 6 p.m., officiated by Pastor Bryan Smith.
