David Michael Lloyd, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the TidalHealth Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford. He was 72. David was born in Milford, the son of the late Roy and Ruth Ann Lloyd.
David earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Delaware in 1975 where he went on to proudly serve in the United States Army for 26 years. In those years, David travelled the world and experienced life in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Central and South America. During his time serving, he obtained a master's degree from Webster University St. Louis, Missouri in 1987. Upon retiring from service, he transitioned into federal service and worked an additional 17 years with the Department of Defense.
David enjoyed spending time with his family. His hobbies included camping, boating, hunting, baseball, car shows, traveling, and attending church events, among other activities. He was a member of the Greenwood Alumni Association. He loved keeping himself busy as the family's handyman. Always willing to offer help or words of wisdom, his guidance will be greatly missed.
Besides his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother, John Lloyd. He is survived by his loving wife, Terry Lloyd; daughter, Adriann Lloyd; son, Brandon and Jessica Lloyd; brothers, Gary Lloyd, Keith Lloyd; and grandchildren, John Henry Downes, Eva Louis Downes, and Stephen Lloyd.
Services for David will be Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Framptom Funeral Home - Fleischauer Chapel, 16 W. Market St, Greenwood, at 1 p.m. A visitation for family and friends will start at 12 p.m. Interment will be held at St Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood
