David A. Lyon, age 46, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord and his loving wife on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital. David was born on May 19, 1962 in Kingsport and lived here all his life. He was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church. He worked at Indian Path Hospital for over 20 years in the Radiology department. David never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on everyone who came into his life. He always had a smile on his face and loved to laugh. He enjoyed being with family and friends, travelling and gardening. He was a car enthusiast and was always ready to go on a trip. He had a kind, loving and generous heart, always thinking of others before himself. This world is a better place because he was in it, and he will be missed more than words can say. He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Kay Cooper Lyon. He is survived by his son, Travis David Lyon of Kingsport; his parents, Paul and Dolphine Lyon of Kingsport; one brother, Michael Lyon and wife Suzanne of Kingsport; four sisters, Reta Cooper and special brother-in-law Don of Blountville, TN, Claudi Lyon of Dalton, GA, Lyla Anderson and husband Warren of Kingsport, Cindy Fluce and husband Don of Kingsport; nieces and nephews, Cheyanne Hill, Melissa Memoli, Amy Cooper, James Lyon, Rachel Anderson, and Samantha, Stephanie, and Elliot Fluce; great niece and nephew, Anna Paxton and Jackson Hill and a special great nephew, Dominic Memoli; special aunt Jeet; special friends, Mark and Tonya Warner, and Robin and Mac McConnell; two special companions, Bonnie and Max; numerous aunts and cousins.
