David A. Malenda, of Mentor, Ohio (formerly of Euclid), a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 13, 2025 at the age of 66.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita "Nita"; children, Derik and Dedra (Evans); and grandchildren, Tyler and Dylan, who will miss him dearly.
David was known for his love of the outdoors. He spent much of his life hunting and fishing, always seeking the quiet solitude of nature and the thrill of the catch. His passion for these activities was matched only by his deep interest in mechanics. Whether it was fixing a car, gardening, working in the yard, or gathering collectibles, David found great satisfaction in working with his hands.
Though David had a gruff exterior and could often be found wearing a grumpy expression, those who knew him best recognized his fierce loyalty and love for his family. He may not have been one for big displays of emotion, but his actions spoke volumes, and he had an undeniable way of showing care for his loved ones, even if it was sometimes through a slightly grumpy comment or a simple gesture.
David's presence in the lives of his family and friends will be sorely missed. His legacy lives on through the memories of his outdoor adventures, horticulture, and the love he had for those closest to him.
