Vito Pasquale Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McMahon - Coyne - Vitantonio Funeral Home - Mentor on Mar. 16, 2026.
Vito J. Pasquale, age 74, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on March 25, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Vito Pasquale and Ann Yarlekovic.

Vito was the beloved husband of 39 years to Sheila Pasquale (née Smith) and a devoted father to Jaclyn Pasquale and Nicole Pasquale, who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a cherished brother to John (Janice) Pasquale and a dear brother-in-law to Paula (and the late Lee) Dubberly, Suzan (Glen) Allen, Diana (Joe) Tommilson, Robert (Marge) Smith, and Dean (Cecelia) Smith. Vito was also a loving uncle and cousin to many, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Vito dedicated many years of his career to Marsh Electronics. Where he became known as the person everyone turned to, confident that Vito would find the solution. Gifted with a natural curiosity and remarkable skill, he seemed able to repair almost anything. Friends, neighbors, and family members frequently arrived at his door with televisions, kitchen appliances, and gadgets in need of saving. Vito could bring nearly anything back to life - earning him the affectionate nickname "Mr. Wizard" from his family.

Beyond his love of tinkering and electronics, Vito had a lifelong fascination with science fiction. He especially enjoyed the original Star Wars films. When The Empire Strikes Back was first released, Vito's enthusiasm was so great that he drove all the way to Columbus just to be the first to see it.

Vito also had a special connection with animals, which always seemed drawn to his calm and gentle presence. His favorite family cat, Mooshu, could always be found on his lap. Above all else, Vito will be remembered for his quiet kindness. He was always generous with his time and often went above and beyond to give gifts. He was close with his father and took him to breakfast every Saturday morning. He befriended everyone from his favorite waiters, the neighborhood kids and the elderly in need of help. Vito did many kind and generous things that most people would never know because it was his nature. He was a loving and dependable person who is also remembered for his remarkable ability to fix what others could not. His family will carry forward the many memories of his humor, ingenuity, and the comfort of knowing that if something was broken, Vito could make it right.

Vito will be interred at Acacia Cemetery in a private ceremony.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, March 21, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street, Mentor.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Vito's memory to a local animal shelter or the ASPCA, or that a tree be planted in his honor.
