Thomas Charles Linden

Funeral Mass for Thomas C. Linden, 61, of Mentor-On-The-Lake, will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor. Fr. Tom Johns to officiate.

Thomas passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland.

Born April 16, 1964 in Cleveland, Thomas lived in Willoughby before moving to Mentor-On-The-Lake 29 years ago.

He will be remembered as a hardworking and devoted man who dedicated 42 years of his career to selling furniture in Cleveland. Known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature, he built lasting relationships with both coworkers and customers throughout the years.

Outside of work, Thomas found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He was an avid bike rider, camper, and fisherman who loved exploring the many parks in the area. Whether riding a trail, casting a line, or setting up camp, he felt most at home surrounded by nature.

Thomas also took great pride in caring for his yard, spending many hours tending to it and making it a place of beauty and comfort. He had a special love for animals and never missed an opportunity to show kindness to them.

Above all else, Thomas was a devoted husband and father who loved his wife and children with his whole heart. In recent years, one of his greatest joys was becoming a grandfather. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren and always looked forward to the time they shared together.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His kindness, dedication, and love for life will be remembered always.

Thomas was the beloved husband of Patricia (nee Balazs) Linden; loving father of Andrew (Amanda) Linden and Cassandra Linden (Rob Tussey); cherished grandfather of Colton Linden, Charlie Linden, Sawyer Linden, Joel Tussey and Willow Tussey; brother-in-law of Steven (Sandy) Balazs, Dennis Balazs, Mary Beth (Rich) Grgic, Kim (Ken) Flanagan, Julie (Ron) DeMao and Katie Balazs; and uncle of many wonderful nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Diane (nee Genco) Linden.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Rt. 615, N. of Rt. 2), Mentor. Burial to follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
