Michael "Mikey" G. Reed Jr., 41, of Willoughby, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, at his residence.

He was born June 16, 1984, in Willoughby.

Mikey will be remembered as a true craftsman, a devoted friend, and a man who never sat still for long. A Master Carpenter by trade, Mikey was awesome at his craft and took immense pride in every project he touched.

Outside of his work, Mikey loved the open road on his motorcycle and spending time on the golf course. He was always staying busy, always working on something, always moving forward.

Mikey had a remarkable sense of humor and a gift for making people laugh. Whether the joke was on him or someone else, he embraced it fully. His laughter was contagious, and his presence unforgettable.

He made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His craftsmanship, his humor, and his genuine spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Mikey was the loving son of Denise (nee DeGroodt) Reed; grandson of the amazing Sue Reed; devoted brother of Jay VonHof and Stefanie Reed; step-son of Kara Reed; the best uncle to Cecilia, Aly, Colton, Cam Jr. and Axl; nephew, cousin, and friend of many; he also leaves behind so many people that weren't family by blood, but Mikey always made sure to make them feel like family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Mike Reed, brother, Tony Boehnlein; and grandfather, Erwin "Sonny" Reed.

Family to receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m., with a Celebration of Life Service at 4 p.m. at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Rt. 615, N. of Rt. 2), Mentor.
