David Allen Mann, affectionately known as Dave, was born on October 24, 1957, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, and passed away on January 8, 2026, in Richland, Mississippi. He lived a life dedicated to his family, friends, and career, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Dave served honorably in the United States Army, achieving the rank of E-5. His commitment to service was a defining aspect of his character, instilling in him values that he carried throughout his life. Following his military service, he honed his skills as an Auto Body Technician, contributing to the automotive industry with dedication and expertise.
Throughout his life, Dave was known for his passion for spending time with family and friends. He found immense joy in the company of his loved ones, always making time for his grandson, Ryan Gaines, showering him with affection and wisdom. He was also a lover of airplanes and motorcycles, often sharing his interests and experiences with those around him, creating lasting memories along the way.
David is survived by his loving wife, Linda Mann; his son, Shane Begley; daughters, Kodie Mann and Alex Mann; and son, David Eugene Mann. He also leaves behind his brothers, Michael Mann, Ricky Mann, Randy Mann, and Gordon Mann, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his warmth and humor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Mann; his mother, Doris Sullivan Mann; and his grandchild, Blakley Faulkner.
The community is invited to pay their respects during a visitation service that will take place on January 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home Florence, located at2576 U.S. Highway 49, Florence, Mississippi 39073.
David Allen Mann will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments as an Autobody Technician and his honorable military service, but also for his deep love for his family and friends, his adventurous spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy will continue through the lives he touched and the memories he created.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in David’s memory to the Mississippi Animal Rescue League.
