David R. Markham

David R. Markham, age 69, of Marion, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 22, 2026.
David was born on October 13, 1956, in Chillicothe, Ohio, the son of the late Victor David and Margene Irene (Bayhan) Markham. He was a 1975 graduate of North Union High School and was employed for many years as a repairman with the phone company.
In his spare time, David was an avid golfer and was proud to have achieved a hole-in-one on July 24, 2024 at Jasper Hills Golf Course. He enjoyed listening to music with a great cocktail in hand and was always ready for a road trip, whether it was out West or visiting his daughter in Charleston, South Carolina. Watching nearly any sport was something he loved, and he was also known as a great cook.
David is survived by his children, Kathryn "Kate" Markham and David Jackson "Jack" (Hannah) Markham; his grandchildren, Warren, Hudson, and Henry; his loving significant other, Lisa McDaniel; and his siblings, Marty (Teresa) Markham and Gene (Jeri) Markham.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 East Center St., Marion, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a celebration of life service to follow at 6:00 p.m.
