Daniel Clark

Daniel Clark, 81 of Marion, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Marion General Hospital. Daniel was born May 12, 1944 in Marion, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Helen I. (Bender) Clark. Daniel graduated from Harding High School, class of 1963 and began on-the-job training to become a welder. As he mastered his craft, Daniel worked for Marion Power Shovel and Erie Railroad before medically retiring in the mid-1970's. Daniel had a talent for fixing just about anything and if he wasn't turning a wrench, you'd likely find him sitting on his front porch with a cup of coffee. He also enjoyed chatting up his good buddies on his CB radio using the handle 'Scottie'.
Daniel will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Alyce Clark; his children, Aaron Clark, Eric Clark, Kelly (Cynthia) Clark, Danielle (Mike) Van Meter, and Ashley (Brandon) Weber; his grandchildren, Heather (Brad) Belcher, Kody Clark, Kelli Clark, Amber Martin, Summer (Chase) Schnapp, Ryan Clark, Aiden, Carson & Jaxon Van Meter, and Saylor, Saige, & Warner Weber; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren, as well as his sister, Judy (Salvador) Rivas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Viola McKee.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 16, 2026 from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Denzer Chapel, 360 E. Center St., Marion, OH 43302. Funeral Services will follow at 12:30 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Steve Estep officiating. Burial will take place at Marion Cemetery.
