Jane Beasley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Werner-Gompf Funeral Services Ltd. on Feb. 2, 2026.
Jane Louise (Garber) Beasley, age 87, of Mansfield, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 22, 2026, while in the care of Crystal Care of Mansfield. Jane was born on April 8, 1938, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Lester L. Garber and Frances M. (Herrick) Garber. A lifelong resident of the area, Jane lived a life grounded in faith, service, and love for others.

On January 21, 1956, Jane married the love of her life, Phillip Beasley. She entered eternal rest just one day after what would have been their 70th wedding anniversary. Together, Jane and Phil devoted their lives to serving the Lord and sharing His love with others. They owned and operated the Gospel Lighthouse Book Store and founded and operated Cowboy Fellowship Church, where many were touched by their faithful witness.

Jane worked alongside her father, Lester Garber, at Alta Greenhouse for many years, where her appreciation for God's creation blossomed through her love of flowers and gardening. She later worked for over 20 years at Nickles Bakery before retiring. Her backyard was a testament to her joy in the beauty God provides, filled with flowers, birds, and squirrels she faithfully fed. Jane also had a tender heart for stray cats, always ensuring they were cared for. One special cat, Sissy, became her constant companion and dear friend.

A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Jane loved serving and worshiping the Lord. She lived her faith daily through kindness, generosity, and a servant's heart. Her life reflected the love of Christ, and her legacy of faith will continue through the many lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Beasley; her sons, Rondell Beasley and Steven Beasley; her parents, Lester and Frances Garber; and her siblings, John, Jimmy, Ruthann, and Larry.

Jane is survived by her children, Lester (Jackie) Beasley and Daniel (Lori) Beasley; her daughter-in-law, Milly Beasley (widow of Steven Beasley); her grandchildren, Kristopher (Kori) Beasley, John (Rebekah) Beasley, Sarah (Stan Gilbert) Beasley, Elijah Beasley, Travis Workman, Sheena (Josh Thompson), Jessica (Trent) Brasseur, Zack (Hayley) Beasley, and Logan Pena; and numerous great-grandchildren; her special niece and nephew, Connie Garber and Johnny Allen Garber; and a special friend, Norma.

Memorial services will be held on February 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Storyside Church, 541 State Route 97 West, Bellville, Ohio, with Pastor Micah Pelkey officiating.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Crystal Care for their compassionate and loving care.
