Brenda Fay Jackson, 72 of Mansfield, OH transitioned January 28th, 2026 at Ohio Health Hospice.
Born August 6, 1953 in Brownsville, TN to Walter Reid and Lou G. Transou. In 1964 she moved to Mansfield, OH, where Lou G. and Spearman Transou raised her and siblings. She attended Creveling, John Sherman and Mansfield Sr. High. In 1971 she met Truman C. Jackson and by Feb 5th, 1972 were joined in marriage. She worked briefly in the nursing home field. Her primary job was being a homemaker. Brenda loved being around family especially her Uncles and Aunts, her cousins were more like brothers and sisters growing up.
Her favorite pastime was watching soap operas, crossword puzzles and Bingo. Brenda grew up knowing the Lord and rededicated her life back to God becoming a faithful member of New Community Temple C.O.G.I.C.

Brothers: Darrell A. Transou of Columbus, OH; Walter F. Reid of Decatur, IL; Christopher (Tammy) Reid and Roy S. Reid of Indianapolis, IN;
Sisters: Lakeisha Feagin of Milwaukee, WI; Donda Reid of Decatur, IL; Pamela (Dennis) Thomas of Dresden, MS;
Sister-in-laws Melina (Nina) McGrew and Celia Transou;
8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren;
Aunt Stella Campbell of Anderson, North Carolina who was like a sister;
A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, husband, brother John Transou, sisters Mariah (Ann) Bonds, Elaine Haney, son DeShaun T. Jackson, and great grandson Messiah King Alai Taylor.
