Tomika Thomascine Taylor, lovingly known to family and friends as Mika, peacefully transitioned from this life on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the age of 52, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on June 3, 1973, in Mansfield, Ohio, Tomika was a woman whose life was marked by strength, resilience, loyalty, and a deep, abiding love for her family. She carried herself with grace through life's challenges, and those who knew her will forever remember her warm spirit, her honesty, and her unwavering heart.

Tomika's wide, expressive eyes were unforgettable. They would open even wider when she was surprised or while emphasizing a point, revealing a woman who paid close attention to life. Through those eyes, she loved deeply and fiercely. Her eyes reflected a heart that was fully sincere and connected to those she cherished.

Tomika was a devoted and loving mother to Crystal Taylor and DeSanjay Taylor, and to her beloved son Kristen Taylor Congious, she was a proud and loving grandmother to Keshaun, Kezyiah, Kemoni, and Alora. Her children and grandchildren were her heart, her joy, and her greatest accomplishment.

She also shared her life for over 40 years with her devoted partner, Maurice Congious, the father of her children, with whom she built a life grounded in commitment, family, and love.

Tomika shared close and meaningful bonds with her family, including her cousins Ulyssa Johnson of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Yvonne Mack(Eddie Williams) of Mansfield, Ohio, Sheletta Kirst of Mansfield, Ohio, and Sonji Mack of Mansfield, Ohio, These relationships were more like those of siblings rooted in love, loyalty, and bonds that remained unbreakable throughout her life.

She lovingly stepped into the role of TT Mika to Skye Mack of Mansfield, Ohio, Uniik Mack of Columbus, Ohio, and Eddie Williams Jr. of Mansfield, Ohio, embracing them with the same fierce love and protection she gave her own.

Tomika was preceded in death by her son Kristen Taylor Congious, her mother Faye L. Taylor, and her grandmother Ermma L. Taylor.

She is also survived by her father Thomas (Tommy) Carmichael, of Marion, Ohio aunts Rosie Johnson Uncle Arthur and Annabelle ( Annie) Mack, along with a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.

She leaves to cherish her memory of a host of loving family members and friends whose lives she touched in countless ways.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Tomika will be remembered for her strength, her authenticity, and her unwavering love for her family. She loved deeply and lived fully, leaving a legacy that will continue through the lives of her children, her grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.
