Travis Brissell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder Funeral Homes, Lexington Avenue Chapel on Mar. 13, 2026.
Travis Brissell, 35, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 9, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of friendships, laughter, and cherished memories.

He was born November 29, 1990, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Ted and Sue Brissell. Travis graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 2009. He went on to attend the University of Toledo, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Medical and Biological Chemistry with a minor in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Following his education, Travis built a successful career with Axalta Coating Systems, where he worked for more than 10 years as an Operational Manager and was respected for his dedication and leadership.

Outside of work, Travis had many passions that filled his life with joy. He was an active member of the Central Ohio Road Trip Club and enjoyed the adventures and friendships that came with exploring the open road. Travis also took great pride in maintaining a beautiful lawn. Whether reseeding, experimenting with different techniques, or even growing his own grass for a time, he loved the process of creating the perfect yard.

Growing up, Travis loved team sports and valued the lifelong relationships he built while playing. Travis was also a devoted fan of Cleveland sports. A proud member of the Brown's Backers, he cheered for the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. Some of his favorite memories included flying RC planes and driving RC cars with his dad. He also treasured time spent fishing with his grandpa at Lake Erie.

Known for his warm personality, Travis was truly a social butterfly. Anyone who met him walked away having had a positive experience-he had a natural ability to make people feel comfortable and welcomed. Travis had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved "fur babies," who brought him endless joy and companionship.

He is survived by his wife, Aimee Young-Brissell; his father, Ted Brissell; and his in-laws, Rob and Nora Young; many aunts and uncles including Linda & Larry Callahan; his beloved furbabies Finnegan, Phoebe (his princess), Gilmore, and Kona. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Brissell, and his grandparents.

Friends may call Friday, March 20, from 4–7 p.m. at the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Homes. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 21, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.Celebrant Dave Roberts will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Travis' memory may be made to the Humane Society of Richland County or plant a tree in his honor.
