Lynn Dee and family - I am so sorry to hear of Mr Martin's (as I knew him) passing. He was such a good friend to my mom and dad and a teacher I will never forget from Sprayberry! Only had him one semester because he moved me out of his class to the "Smart" class as he said but continued to know him through First Methodist in Marietta where he sang in choir with my parents. He also helped my mom with all her coins she collected - he was her go to guy for that! He really did live his life as a wonderful example to others. Wish I could attend the service today but I am out of town for a wedding. I will be thinking of you all and praying for comfort and peace.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Martin's passing. He was the sweetest most delightful neighbor who inspired all of us with his daily acts of kindness. His sweet smile and wave were enough to brighten our day. His presence will be greatly missed by our entire neighborhood and community. Please accept our deepest condolences and know that we are here if there is anything we can help with. With love, Toni and Fred Diaz

Dr. Dave was such a great friend and a positive addition to our day. Whether we actually saw and talked to him or received his text with his "finds" for the day. He always had a positive word, a Bible verse or a trivia question. He was such an inspiration He will be missed by so many people. He lived his Wonderful Life and God is pleased with his good and faithful servant.
