MAY, Mr. David Jr. - Age 73, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at his residence Family hour 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Ronald C. Joplin of New St Paul Church of God In Christ, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy, Mt. Morris, Mi. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Funeral Home 10:00 AM Wednesday. Mr. May will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, public Viewing will be held only during the family hour. David May, Jr. was born October 24, 1950 in Nashville, Arkansas, the son of David Sr. and Teressie May. He was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School class of 1968. After graduation, David attended Mott Community College where he obtained his Journeyman's Card for Tool & Die. He worked as a Tool & Die Maker for General Motors Corporation. He accepted the Lord at an early age and joined Bethel United Methodist Church under the leadership of Reverend Donald E Morris. David enjoyed fishing and being handy around the house. David May, Jr. is survived by: mother, Teressie May; children, Dr. Shonda May and Aaron May, both of Flint; grandchild, Trinity May of Nashville, TN; siblings, Douglas May of Flint, Loretta (Anthony) Arnold of Virginia Beach, VA, and Joe (Kathryn Melton) May of Reseda, CA; 3 nephews, Lugene Arnold, Steven (Alexa) Arnold, all of Washington, DC, and Nick May of Kalamazoo, MI; 6 nieces, Carmen Davis, Rolanda (Geraldo) Montalvo of Corona, CA, Teressie Moses of Flint, Gloria Henley and Annette Henley, both of Grand Blanc, MI, and Tiffany May. David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Minuen and Irene May, Robert and Louisa White; father, David May, Sr.; siblings, Randall May and Olga May-Henley; son, Marcus Jackson.
