David Allen McConnell, 87, of Bristol, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He was born on November 13, 1938 in Manhattan, NY, son of the late David and Lilly (Henry) McConnell. David was the loving husband of Marilyn (Barnes) McConnell for 64 years. He worked at Pratt & Whitney for more than 35 years until his retirement. David was an avid NY Yankees and NE Patriots fan. He was known for his Lionel Trains & Snow Village collection which he would display every Christmas. You would see David hard at work in his yard making sure that it was manicured perfectly because he took such pride in his yard work. Most of all he was a devoted husband, father & grandpa to his beloved family. Besides his wife, Marilyn, David is survived by his sons David McConnell and his wife Ann of Bristol, Allen McConnell of Wolcott; daughters Beth Martel and her husband Don of Harwinton, Janet Sykes and her husband William of Simsbury; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol from 5PM until 7 p.m.. Burial will be held privately.
