David Edward McFadden, 83, passed on Feb 1, 2025 in St George, UT. He was born on October 1, 1941 in Provo, UT to Ross and Zola McFadden. On August 25, 1967, he married his beloved wife, Rosemary, in the Manti, UT LDS temple, beginning a lifetime of love and devotion. Fittingly, Dave departed this life on what would have been Rosemary’s birthday, reuniting with his sweetheart who preceded him in passing two years ago. A gift beyond measure. Together, Dave and Rosemary raised their six children, first in the Bay Area of California and later in St. George, Utah. A man of boundless energy and generosity, Dave believed in working hard and playing hard. He dedicated himself to serving others—whether through sharing a meal, offering a helping hand, or simply being present. Dave earned an MBA in Economics from BYU and was a founding member of BYU’s Cougar Club. A passionate entrepreneur, he successfully owned and operated several restaurants before launching a thriving marketing company. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he embodied his faith through service, hard work, and an enduring love for food, sports, and the great outdoors. His welcoming home became a hub of warmth, laughter, and hospitality, drawing in family and friends alike.
Dave is survived by his six children: Kelly Dickson, Troy McFadden, Jeremy McFadden, Marty McFadden, Marie Hanberg, and Jamie Hansen, as well as 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
