DAVID MCKINNEY 10/13/1960 - 10/10/2025 David Ben McKinney of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, passed away on October 10, 2025, at his residence. He was born on October 13, 1960, in Shawnee, Okla., to Paul and Virginia Perkins McKinney. David graduated from Shawnee High School in 1979 and from Oklahoma State University in 1983. He worked for many years for USDA. He is survived by his brother and husband, Mike McKinney and David Faulkner of Dallas, Texas; cousins, Mary McBrayer of Kennedale, Texas, Ellen Marcy of Durant, Okla., Dixie Cooper of Davis, Okla., Nelda Booker of Norfolk, Via. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Virginia McKinney. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Bates Cooper Sloan Chapel from 1 to 2 p.m. with services to follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be held in Lone Star Cemetery.
