David McNichol Obituary
October 25, 1943 - December 25, 2025
David Charles McNichol, age 82, passed peacefully on Christmas morning, December 25th, 2025 at his home in Catlett, Virginia. He was born on October 25th, 1943 in Cordova, Alaska, son of the late John & Juliene McNichol.
David graduated from Montana State University in 1971 and started his career at IBM. He had many hobbies, including; flying his sail plane, shooting skeet, riding motorcycles, playing poker, keeping bees, collecting minerals, and much more.
David is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha L. McNichol; four children, Daniel McNichol & his wife, Sheryl of Austin, TX, Douglas McNichol & his wife, Marie of Denver, CO, Kathleen David & her husband, Jesse of Pittsburgh, PA and Julie Merritt & her husband, Brent of Missoula, MT; sister, Jean Marie Bray & her husband, Mike of Seattle, WA; and four grandchildren, Christopher, Savanna, Stephen & Connor.
The family received friends at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave. in Warrenton, VA on Wednesday, December 31st, 2025 from 2 to 4 pm. A mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 2nd, 2026 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 271 Winchester St., Warrenton, VA 20186 at 11 am followed by interment at Bright View cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
