David Charles McSloy of Langhorne passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026. He was 84 years old. Dave was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Father Judge High School, then later attended night classes at Drexel University and served in the Army National Guard.

Dave spent most of his adult life in Bucks County, which he loved. He built a career in Machine Tool Sales and Distribution, at which he excelled, and was awarded Salesman of the Year numerous times. Dave was an avid skier and scuba diver and enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake Bay in his boat Shadows. An ardent photographer, he also studied gourmet cooking and learned the intricacies of fine wines. He was an enthusiastic traveller and took trips all over the country and all over the world, visiting Mexico, Central America, Europe, Russia, China, Australia, as well as islands in the Atlantic and the Pacific. He was a passionate reader who relished the study of history, as well as a film buff who enjoyed cinema in all of its permutations. He loved music of all sorts, from pop to opera, especially John Denver.

Dave had a playful, sometimes mischievous sense of humor, and was always ready with a joke or a wry observation. He loved the finer things in life and delighted in sharing them with others. An avid collector, he surrounded himself with artwork, collectibles and souvenirs from his travels; he also particularly enjoyed collecting and repairing watches. Dave adored his two cats, Smokey and Missy, and took enormous pleasure in feeding the wild creatures that frequented his yard. In his later years, his favorite thing to do in the nice weather was to sit out on his deck, surrounded by trees, with a Perfect Manhattan and a bowl of goldfish crackers, enjoying the sunset.

Dave is survived by his two children, Jeanne and Scott, as well as his brother Raymond and sister Lynne. He was preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Robert. Memorial services will be private. Please send any tributes to Saint Jude's Hospital for Children.
