Robert E. Spangler Jr.

With a heart full of memories, we announce the loss of Robert E. Spangler, Jr., who was called home on March 5, 2026. Born on July 17, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA, Robert, fondly known as Bob, blessed us with his presence for nearly eight decades. An embodiment of resilience and passion, Robert was a man whose life was defined by his love for others and his captivating creativity.

Bob was a talented and smart individual who dedicated his professional life to his passion for photography. He was an expert in the camera field, and his business, Photo Spot, in Jenkintown. Outside of his professional pursuits, Bob was an avid drummer, his father being a drummer for the Glenn Miller Orchestra Bob enjoyed playing along with his father's recordings. With a resilient spirit, Bob was a man who found joy in the everyday, declaring that "life mattered." His love for his cat, Baby Girl, was a testament to Bob's kind heart and gentle soul.

In every chapter of his life, Bob's love for Jesus was not spoken loudly but was close to his heart. As we remember him, we are reminded of the verse from John 16:33: "In the world, you will have trouble. But take heart; I have overcome the world." These words encapsulate Bob's resilience and positivity, inspiring those who knew him to navigate life's challenges with courage and faith.

Bob leaves behind his loving sisters, Ellen O'Brien, Edna Ridenour, and Sarah Spangler-Colell, who will forever cherish his memory. He will also be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. He now joins his father, Robert Spangler, Sr., his mother, Catherine Spangler, his beloved wife, Kathleen Spangler, and his brother, George Spangler, in eternal rest.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia, 13500 Philmont Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
