So sad to hear of my cousins passing. For many years we Durkins were all close with Aunt Martha and her children. It´s that time in our lives when we cousins lose our loved ones.

Dave was a friend who made me laugh. The first time I played golf with him I missed a putt by 4 feet and he said " I am surprised it didn't go in" and we laughed . Dave made laugh many many times, but one time I made him laugh . It was a slight drizzle on the first tee at SSCC and Dave and 3 other Marines were deciding whether to go out. I told Dave it was a good thing it didn't rain at Iwo Jima or we would all be speaking Japanese ; Dave laughed out loud and was happy I made him laugh in exchange for all the laughter he gave us all at SSCC
