Obituary of David Michael Meuse
David Michael Meuse, a beloved husband, dog lover, and friend, March 3, 2024, at the age of 71. David was born to Wilfred and Jeanne in Winchester and raised in the heart of Wilmington, where he cultivated a life filled with love, companionship, and a deep appreciation for the simpler joys life offers.
David's story is one of true companionship and enduring love, especially highlighted by his marriage of 29 years to his soulmate, Lucia, whom he met through mutual friends in Somerville. Their life together was a testament to mutual respect, deep affection, and shared values.
A fixture in the local community, David could often be found in the early hours of the morning walking his dogs, Minnie, a spirited Jack Russell Terrier; Pepper, a loyal Dalmatian; and Jesse, the late Border Collie and Black Lab mix. This ritual brought him immense joy and peace. The Rahanis Dog Park was a favorite spot, too, where he and his canine companions spent countless hours socializing and playing. His commitment to animal welfare was further exemplified by his generous donations to the MSPCA, reflecting his deep belief in the cause of animal rescues.
David's leisure time was characterized by his love for the television programs "The Curse of Oak Island" and WWE. He was captivated by the mystery and adventure of treasure hunting on Oak Island, as well as the larger-than-life personas of wrestling legends like Hulk Hogan. These interests were more than mere pastimes; they were windows into David's love for stories of perseverance, discovery, and the triumph of the human spirit.
David was the beloved husband of Lucia Meuse of Burlington. He was the loving father of Steve Simoes of Burlington. David was the dear brother of James Meuse of Wilmington, and Brian Meuse and his wife Becky of Las Vegas, NV.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the MSPCA in David's memory, honoring his life-long commitment to animal welfare.

BRIAN MEUSE

March 27, 2024

This was very difficult for me. I have great memories of when we were kids. Dave took me everywhere from Paragon Park to Canobie Lake and bowling alleys . He was a great older brother. I am glad I got to video chat with him. It was very hard to see him go. I thank Lucia and Steve for all they did for him. Rst in peace my oldest brother.
