David Lynn Mickle, age 79, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully at his home on October 16, 2025.
Born on December 19, 1945, to Ira E. and Barbara J. (Smith) Mickle, David was one of five children raised in the Williamsport area. After completing his education, he began working at Harrison Steel, where he remained until health issues led to his retirement.
On November 27, 1972, David married Nancy Wilson, and together they made their home in Williamsport, where they enjoyed a quiet and loving life. The couple shared a deep appreciation for the outdoors and cherished time spent with family. David was known for his cheerful spirit and could often be found fishing—a pastime he truly loved.
He is survived by his sister Janet Young; sister-in-law Nancy Mickle; and good friend Steve Long. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Nancy Mickle; his parents; and siblings Jerry Dean Mickle, Mary Ann Speakman, and William Joseph Mickle.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 20, at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport.
