David Miller, 86, of Story City, formerly of Webster City, died Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025, at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery.
David L. Miller, son of Erwin and Alice Johnson Miller, was born August 11, 1938, in Webster City. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1956. On August 16, 1959, David was united in marriage to Carolyn J. Hilpipre at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Webster City. He farmed for many years northeast of Webster City and had also worked for Beam Industries and Webster City Custom Meats. In 2015, the couple moved to Story City.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn, of Story City; daughter Lisa Elm of Story City; son Lynn (Chris) Miller of Walford; grandchildren Mandy (Joe) McCulley, Justin (Zoe Bachman) Elm, Jerilyn (Jared) Garnant, and Jessica (Kevin) Marks; and great-grandchildren Wesley, Payton, Levi, Verity, Theodore, and Myles.
David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in infancy, Phillip Miller.
He enjoyed farming, raising livestock, jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with family.
