David "Dave" Miller, age 76, of Fonda, Iowa, passed away peacefully August 31, 2025 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa surrounded by family. A come and go Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 1-5:00 p.m. at the Fonda Golf Course in Fonda. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Fonda is in charge of the arrangements. Dave was born May 23, 1949 to Raymond and Evelyn (Knoke) Miller in Bloomington, MN. He was baptized in the St. Mark's Lutheran church and later was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic church. Dave was a Knights of Columbus and a member of faith at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Fonda, Iowa. Dave graduated from Storm Lake Senior High School in 1967, then was drafted into the United States Army. One phone call to the "wrong Miller" on the Fort Tilden Army base brought David to meet the love of his life, Debbie (Deborah) Jackson. 51 years of marriage began on May 11, 1974, in Brooklyn, NY. They were blessed with five children: David, Mary, Ashley, Joshua and Matthew. Most likely know Dave through his lifetime work as a Commodities Broker or Accountant. Two occupations he loved so much he had no intention of retiring. Outside of work he enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings or Iowa Hawkeyes, loved golf (especially with his children), bowling, cooking and watching movies. He was always up for a trip to a casino and traveling with his family – he was sure to stop at every Perkin's along the way. Dave had a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Deborah Miller of Fonda, Iowa; children: David Miller of Fonda, Iowa; Ashley Miller of Storm Lake, Iowa; Joshua (Alissa Reinert) Miller of Sac City, Iowa; Matthew (Katherine Lai) Miller of Le Mars, Iowa; sibling: John (Carol) Miller of Austin, Minnesota; sisters-in-law: Nancy (Bob) O'Neill of Staten Island, New York and Lorraine Jackson of Franklin Square, New York; along with an abundance of nieces and nephews he so loved. David was welcomed to heaven by his paternal and maternal grandparents; parents, Raymond and Evelyn Miller; parents- in-law, Jerry and Mary Jackson; daughter, Mary Rose Miller; siblings: Mike Miller and Judy Geary; in-laws: Billy Jackson, Liz Reilly, Kenny Jackson, Lenny Jackson, Judy Carrion, Ronnie and Joe Kane. Memorial donations may be made to the Fonda Golf Course in Fonda, Iowa, Critical Care Unit at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa or Norma Schmoker Cancer Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
