David Miller Obituary

David Glenn Miller
David Glenn Miller, 56, of Waterbury, passed away far too soon on January 10, 2026 at St. Mary's Hospital while surrounded in the love of his family. Born on December 16, 1969, David was raised in Prospect.
David was the devoted and loving son of Robert Glenn Miller and Catherine Diorio Miller of Prospect. He was a truly bright man, blessed with a remarkable mind and a natural gift for fixing anything put before him. If something was broken, David could make it whole again. He earned his associate degree and worked proudly as a CNC operator. He spent many years at Somers Thin Strip working with his dad before continuing his career at Subway Headquarters as a CAD store designer. He leaves behind a family who adored him and will forever hold him close in their hearts: his sister Melissa and brother-in-law Nick Perugini of Southington and his cherished nieces and nephews, Gianna, Devon, and Aubrey, who brought him so much joy. David is also lovingly remembered by many cousins and, above all, by his devoted parents, whose love for him was immeasurable. David was one of those rare people who was loved by everyone who met him. He was easygoing, kind, and quietly thoughtful-a genuine gentleman in every sense. He cared deeply for others, listened without judgment, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. His presence was comforting, his smile sincere, and his heart generous. He was, simply put, a beautiful soul. He embraced life fully and found joy in both activity and simplicity. David loved cycling, golf, kayaking, racquetball, and deck hockey. As a young boy, he proudly played football in the Prospect Pop Warner League. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Boston Red Sox, sharing unforgettable moments with his father and friends at a Super Bowl in Pasadena and many Red Sox games-memories that will be treasured forever. David delighted in the small things that made life sweet. Nothing made him happier than his mom's apple pie, which he often requested in place of a birthday cake. He loved a good steak dinner, those giant garlic pickles pulled straight from a barrel, and Helen's Bakery jelly donuts. In his teenage years, he played guitar and carried his love of heavy metal music and concerts throughout his life. One of his proudest joys was owning his dream car-a black 1995 Corvette.

My racquetball partner, but more importantly to me a good friend his passing is difficult to take and even harder to understand. You really couldn't find a more decent human being. Clearly just from the conversations that I have had with him, his family was an important part of his world. He will be missed.
