David Mitchell, Jr., age 36, transcended from this life unexpectedly on Friday, June 29, 2022. He was gifted into this life January 27, 1986.
David was a very happy, humorous, friendly, courageous, and outgoing person with a contagious smile. He had a passion for rap music, cars, and sports. He was greatly interested in entrepreneurship. He loved being outside. He was always passionate about being around family. His heart was with God. He was not ashamed of his faith and often testified about the Lord!
He was preceded in death by his father, David Mitchell, Sr.; mother, Kimberly J. Williams; grandfathers, Eugene A. Williams and Robert Mitchell; grandmother, Rebecca Mitchell; and aunts, Caroline Calloway, Linda R. Mitchell, and Angie L. Alexander; and sister, Jermica Harris.
He is survived by: grandmother, Lorice Williams; daughter, Miracle; brothers, Antonio Williams and Maurice Harris; stepbrothers, Shawn Council and Tywan Harper; sisters, Kamika (Olumide) Oyelana and Elmitras Williams; stepsister, LaSandra Lewis; aunts, Sheila D. Smith, Trudi (Timothy) Crawley, and Sharon (Steve) Hairston; godmother, Reva (Ricardo) McHardy; uncles, Joseph Lambert and Alan Williams; godsister, Lakeyta Williams; niece, Shamira Morris; nephews, Elijah and Isaiah Manning, Daniel, Emanuel and Gabriel Oyelana Joshua and Yosef Donelson, and Da One Williams; special father figure, Elmo Futull; and host of cousins.

The Compassionate Friends

Dear Mitchell Family,
We, the families of The Compassionate Friends, send you our heartfelt condolences. The Compassionate Friends is an international grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child. Our only mission is to provide comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or sister, or grandchild, and to help others better assist the grieving family. We meet twice monthly in Columbus from 7-9 PM on the second Tuesday (via ZOOM) and 2-4 PM on the fourth Sunday (FACE TO FACE) at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229. If and when you are ready to do so, please join us. We need Not Walk Alone. We are The Compassionate Friends.
