David W. Mix

David W. Mix, 31, of Loves Park, passed peacefully into the presence of Jesus on Friday, July 25, 2025. Born May 9, 1994 in Vienna, Austria, the son of Lawrence G. and Jane G. (Graves) Mix. Despite many disability challenges from his earliest days David persevered with a joyful spirit and an infectious smile.

He is survived by his parents, Larry and Jane; brother, Evan (Simone) Mix of Durham, NC; sisters, Katharine (Matthew) Rose of Grand Rapids, MI and Sarah Qualls of Maplewood, MN; and nephews, Ezra, Simon, Judah Abel Rose, and Everett Qualls. The family is especially grateful for the many years of wonderful care, support and education provided to David by the loving staff of Walter Lawson Children's Home.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Olson North Main Chapel, 2811 N Main St., Rockford. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
