David Moor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ellis Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Nashville on Feb. 25, 2026.
In Loving Memory of David Moor

David Moor was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, proud brother, and fun-loving uncle. Family meant everything to David, and he poured his heart into the people he loved. He was a steady presence, a source of strength, and a safe place for those who needed comfort. His love was constant, generous, and unconditional.

David shared a special bond with his family and friends, always showing up with encouragement, laughter, and an open heart. He had a natural ability to make everyone feel valued and included. To know David was to know loyalty, kindness, and genuine friendship.

He had a true passion for golf. Whether he was out on the course perfecting his swing or spending time sharing stories about the game, golf brought him joy and connection. The friendships he built through the sport became lifelong relationships. To David, friends were family, and he treasured those bonds deeply.

In October 2025, David was diagnosed with a rare cancer called sarcoma. He faced his diagnosis with remarkable courage, grit, and determination. He fought his battle with strength and resilience, surrounded by the unwavering love of his family and friends. Though his fight was brave and fierce, it was not enough to overcome the disease.

David had a way of lighting up every room he entered. His smile was contagious, his energy magnetic, and his presence unforgettable. And when the music started, his dance moves were legendary-once he hit the floor, everyone followed. He brought fun, warmth, and laughter wherever he went, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Haydee; his children, Kalyn, Amber, and Steven; his treasured grandchildren, Leilea and Carlisle; his parents, Britt and Jean Moor; his siblings, Jennifer, Stephanie, Michaela, Michael, and Stephen; and his beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held in April (date to follow). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sarcoma Foundation in David's honor.
