David C. Moore 87 died July 6, 2024, at his Rural Sedgwick Home. He was born March 16, 1937, in Dover Pope, Arkansas to David and Retna Ann (Jones) Moore. On December 18, 1955, he married Joyce Hardiman at Wichita, Kansas and she survives of the home.
David was a retired construction equipment operator. He was a longtime active member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Newton.
David is survived by his wife Joyce of the home; son David (Barbara) Moore; daughters Nancy (Bob) Ulrich and Susan (David) McDonald; brother Lynn Moore; sister Shirley Jeffers. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one infant son Gary Alan Moore.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2024, at Liberty Baptist Church in Newton with Pastor Steve Julius presiding. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friends until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick, Kansas
Memorials may be made to Folds of Honor and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home
