Wayne Moore, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 29th, 2024 at the age of 76.
David Wayne Moore was born on April 12, 1948, in Plainview, TX, to Henry Moore and Thelma George Moore. Wayne graduated from Plainview High School in 1966. After high school, Wayne briefly attended Amarillo College before enrolling in the Army. He served his country with honor and dedication, spending four years stationed in Germany.
After returning to Plainview, Wayne began working at OK Radio and TV, where he dedicated himself to his work until the business closed in 2008. He then continued servicing vending machines until his death, demonstrating his unwavering work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.
Wayne married the love of his life, Myrna Joyce Langford on July 24th, 2010 in Plainview and had just celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Myrna Moore of Plainview; his sister Henriette Eldred of Plainview; his children, Shelia Lambert and husband Wade of Burleson,Tx and Robert Langford and wife Sharon of Manchaca,Tx; his grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 honorary brothers Max Murry and Robert Edwards, sister-in-law Shirley Rodgers; brother-in-law, Randy Noel and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Thelma Moore; his brother, Robert Moore; his sister, Karen Noel; his daughter Amy Guerra and his brother-in-law, Alvin Eldred.
A memorial service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, at 10:30am at Kornerstone Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Home on Friday, August 2nd, 6-8pm.
