SALISBURY:
David Paul Morin age 67, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024, at his home in Salisbury.
David was born in Middlebury on December 24, 1956. He grew up in Salisbury where he received his early education and attended Middlebury Union High School. Following his education, he joined the United States Navy and served during the Viet Nam War. After his Honorable Discharge he return home and began his working career in farming in Bristol for several year. He then became a self-employed house painter for several more years, until an accident; during his farming years; forced him to retire, in 1998. He enjoyed fishing, loved music and motorcycle riding. He was a former member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #7823 in Middlebury.
Surviving are two daughters; Samantha Jean Morin of Vergennes and Hayley Marie Morin of Salisbury, three brothers; Oral Morin and Robert Morin both of Salisbury and Jan Morin of Port Henry, NY. Two grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Rick Morin and two sisters; Kathy Morin and Joyce Dupoise.
A gathering "In Celebration of His Life" will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 3:00 until 6:30 PM, at the Middlebury V.F.W. Post on Exchange Street in Middlebury.
A private graveside committal service and burial; with Military Honors; will take place, at a later date, in West Salisbury Cemetery.
Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; Middlebury Volunteer Ambulance, 55 Collins Drive, Middlebury, VT 05753.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
