David H. C. Morris Jr., age 74, of Harrisburg, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife, Charlotte Morris, and their children.
David lived life to the fullest, even after being diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. His strength, determination, and positive spirit inspired everyone who knew him. David was a proud US Air Force retiree and also served in Homeland Security. A true car enthusiast, he recently fulfilled a lifelong dream by purchasing a 2006 Corvette Z6-a proud bucket list moment that brought him great joy. He also loved visiting local antique stores in search of unique clocks and treasures, and for many years, he and Charlotte enjoyed traveling the country together in their RV.
David was known for his wonderful sense of humor and his deep love for his family. He was devoted to his wife of nearly 50 years, Charlotte, and together they built a life full of laughter, love, and cherished memories.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Morris; daughter, Jerri Mills, and her husband, Tom; son, Jon Seaman, and his wife, Mary; and son, Joshua Morris, and his wife, Cassie. He also leaves behind his brother, Barry Morris, and his wife, Laurrie; and his sisters, Lynn Fenstemaker and her husband, Paul, and Laurie Kalenchick.
David and Charlotte were blessed with beloved grandchildren-Reilly and Reagan Fatticci, Victoria, Olivia, and Angel Seaman, and Natalie, Sam, and Daniel Morris-as well as seven great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever carry his legacy of love, humor, and perseverance.
David will be remembered as a devoted husband, proud father, and loving brother-a man who found joy in life's simple moments and never lost his smile, even in the face of hardship.
A celebration of David's life will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery on Wednesday, October 29, at 2:30 p.m., where family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember the remarkable man he was.
