God bless David and his family. I worked with David for numerous years at the State Health Department . We always talked TSU football year in and out! He was always kind and in good spirits on every occasion!

David and I pledged Alpha Phi Alpha together back in 1972. David, Samuel Sally and I called ourselves the "Ruling Triumvirate of A Phi A". We were young, foolish, and full of ourselves. We did many foolish things but we never lost sight of the true meaning of friendship nor love for humanity. I will always remember David as a good human being. Is there a greater title in this life?

I Lost My Friend
David was a great friend to Kay and I. We first met at a TSU football game. David was so easy to talk to and knew so much about TSU football it was like sitting next to a living media guide. As our friendship grew over the years, we were more excited about spending a Saturday afternoon with David than we were about seeing the game. As I was reflecting on what our friendship meant to me, a scripture verse came to mind. Exodus 33:11 "God spoke to Moses face to face as a man speaks to his friend." Having David as a friend explains the relationship between God and Moses. We have a huge hole in our hearts and the hole in our lives will never heal. I hope you have a friend like David.
